Community Multibed Acupuncture Clinic

Our goal is to make acupuncture treatment available to everyone in our community, irrespective of their health condition or their income.

There is a growing body of clinical evidence demonstrating acupuncture’s effectiveness in treating a wide range of health conditions. Acupuncture is not normally available on the NHS and with the price of private treatment at around £50, it is out of reach for many people in our community who need it most.

We want to change this by establishing a Community Multibed Acupuncture Clinic where people can access treatment for free or at low cost. A multibed clinic helps to keep down costs by allowing acupuncturists to work with several patients in the same room.

We’re aiming to be up and running in 2026 and were bidding for grant funding and looking for a clinic space to work from in Blackburn or Darwen.
